Folio. With woodcut vignette on title and folded engraved map. 2 leaves, 541 pp., 19 leaves (the first blank). Illustrated with a folding large world map engraved after Abraham Ortelius. The map shows a large unexplored 'Terra Australis...' and shows South America with westward bulge. The map is decorative ornated similar to Abraham Ortelius, with ships and sea-monsters. It is present in a very good impression on paper with good margins. A small rust-hole in 'Nova Guinea', the right fold with minor browning or soiling, the fold as well with a small marginal upper split (with on loss of the image) on the upper margin.
