Original copper engraving, hand colored in outline when published. An unusual rare historical map of Persia with the neighborings regions including the Eastern Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Persian gulf also including parts of Central Asia with Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Above the map are three tables with color explanations listing the various kingdoms and nations of these regions in the Middle East and Central Asia. The map is further equipped with a title cartouche and in the lower left corner a cartouche with various mileage scales. Verso inscribed in ink ,TYPI. AETIOLOGICI.
