Copper engraving, uncolored as published. This wonderful map shows us the Eylands. In the middle of the map we see a compass rose and around the compass rose are the Isles which are Isle St. Brava, St. Philipp, St. Jago, Isle Mayo, Island Bonavista, Sal, S. Nikolas, Branca, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Island St. Antonio. Around the coast are many place names engraved. Inside the map are many mountains engraved. In the left side we look to the allegoric title cartouche. A fine detailed and interesting map engraved by Bellin after earlier voyages. Published in the German edition by Schwabe in Leipzig of Bellin's travel books.
