Original copper engraving, uncolored when published. Magnificent large panoramic city view of Madrid in Spain. In the upper part in the centre a title cartouche ,Madrid' decorated with a lion head on both sides and two engraved coat of arms. At the bottom of the map with detailled text descriptions in Dutch, French, German and English. This rare engraving was published c. 1690-95 by the famous Dutch map maker Frederic de Wit in Amsterdam. It seems, that it was published separately or appeared only in very few atlases as ,Theatrum praecipuarum totius Europae urbium'.
