An attractive and historically significant 19th-century map for the discerning collector. George Philip & Son was a leading British geographical publisher, founded in Liverpool by George Philip (1800–1882). The firm became one of the most successful map publishers of the Victorian era, producing atlases, globes, and educational maps for schools and the general public. Philip maps are known for their clear engraving, accurate topography, and attractive hand coloring, combining practical utility with visual appeal.
