The map is equipped with many place names, rivers, lakes, etc. The individual counties are named on the map: Washington, Charlotte, Cumberland, York, Oxford, Waldo, Somerset, Penobscot, Lincoln, etc. A detailed engraved map by the famous German map maker Meyer Joseph. The map is based on Tanner's work in the early 1840s.
