Original antique copper engraving, hand coloured when published, depicting Nouveau. Published by A. Leconte, Paris, 1900. Sheet: 48 x 67 cm (19 x 26,5 inches).. A fine decorative example of antique cartography by L. Poulmaire, rich in period detail and historical significance. L. Poulmaire was a Parisian publisher active in the late nineteenth century who produced practical pocket guides and illustrated tourist maps of Paris, catering to the growing market of French and international visitors to the French capital during the Belle Époque. A very decorative map of Paris showing its monuments and important sights. On the back is another map of the city with the metro routes. In good condition consistent with age (published 1900). Colours well preserved. Some light age-toning to the sheet, as expected for an antique engraving of this period. No tears or significant foxing. A condition report is available on request.
