Original copper engraving, published 1612 in the famous historical Atlas "Parergon" (Latin text-edition) by Abraham Ortelius. Finely later hand-colored in wash and outline. Decorative map of the ,Antique Italy', fabulous ornated with three decorative cartouches. In the lower center the map is ornazed with a cartouche ornated with the front- and reverse side of an antique Roman coin. One of the most beautiful maps of Southern Europe by Abraham Ortelius.
