This is the second edition of Spanheim's most famous work, which he wrote on a trip to Italy in 1664. - Ezechiel Spanheim (1629 - 1710) studied theology and philology in Leiden and became an educator at the court of Elector Charles I Louis (Palatinate) in 1656.
