Steel engraving, hand colored in outline and wash when published. This antique map shows Egypt. In the centre of the map the river Nil with 'desert' to the left side and the 'Red Sea' on the right side. Inside the map are many small place names along the the river Nil and along the coastlines. In the lower left corner is an inset map which shows Nubia. The title is in the upper right corner and below is a small mileage scale.
