Copper-engraving, handcolored in outline, published in Blaeu's 'Atlas Major' around 1650-60. Decorative map of the third Chinese province 'Xensi', ornated with the typical high decorative ornated title cartouche and the ornated mileage scale. The map itself covers the province Xensi, the centre of the map shows the 'Great Wall'. On the left side is an engraved explanation for cities and villages, rivers, lakes, fortresses, etc.
